What a mess!

I am officially moving house on 1st September, this saturday! 3 more days to go! I'll get the key on Fri and will need to do spring cleaning before I move in all my things. This week is a headache settling all the housing things. Things I need to settle:

1. Phone line
2. Broadband
3. Gas
4. Electricity
5. Water and sewage
6. My current housing contract (as I am letting it out for the one month left in my contract)
7. My future housing contract (Deposit, Agent fees, Standing order for rent! + letting it out for the 3 months when I'm not ard)

Such a big mess! Hai.. sometimes I wonder whether I made the right choice to rent such an apartment. If I rented one that's inclusive of everything then there wont be so much hassle, but then the house wont be as nice.

Anyway, I might not be able to get online after Sat for two weeks.. Due to the LOWEST EFFICIENCY I've seen in a developed country like this. Ystd night maomao and I were chatting.. and we all miss home soOOoo much. The place where things get done at the fastest time, where everything is so efficient!!! Although the service in sg is not the best in the world, it's a million times better than the service here!! So much food, so much entertainment, so vibrant, so accessible, so compact, so efficient in a such a small country that is not even classified as developed! Well, anyway when it comes to times like this, people will curse and swear.. like what I am doing now.

*sob* I just hope everything will be fine this weekend and my house-shifting plus all other matters will be settled soon.

Nana

Finally I am done with my dissertation and will be handing up the first draft next week.

Was very bored the last few days and the only meaningful things I did was packing my stuff (for shifting house) and entertaining myself with movies and variety shows. And somehow I didn't know why I started watching the movie Nana. I think the name just pops up from my mind dont know from where.. (perhaps from jie, but I cannot remember when she told me about this movie.. definitely not when I am here. Sister, do you remember telling me?)

Anyway, I finished watching both Nana 1 and 2 on the same night. Actually, I prefer the first Hachi to the second one. I like the strawberry cups. Most of all, I like the songs she sings. Hee.. I am listening to the songs now while typing this.

Then when I was looking out for new blogs, I realised the picture on jie's blog is Nana's poster. Hm. I know where I "heard" the name from now. Hee..

Friends..

I realised I didn't post any photos recently, so picked two photos that I took this month to post here.. It's a gathering at my classmate's house with our Turkish friend. It's taken when they are dressed up to go clubbing! So I look a bit out here with normal clothes. Well, this Turkish friend of mine was going to Germany to continue her studies so we got together for her farewell that night.

Sparks in life

I need some sparks in life.


I can't wait for my next spark in life to come.. Shifting house! hee.. I've already packed part of my things in the boxes because I cannot wait to move out. But there's still one month to go.........

Dissertation has occupied most of my time now. But actually I'm not that busy.. Just doing task everyday to keep myself on schedule. And I think this is going to be my life next time at least for the next 3 years. Well, actually I like it because I like doing things according to my own plan and staying at home most of the time to do work. But I think life in Nottingham will be much more busy than what I am now. Just hope that one day, my work can be published! Hee.. am I thinking too far?

Allergic

Ytsd night was having a chat with a friend at my room and we were on the topic of allergic. And I realised I was having the same skin allergic to her and we are allergic to WATER! That's the last thing I would have ever thought of. Well, blame it on the nice and clean water in SG that makes me so used to it and I am now allergic to hard water in the UK without myself realising it. Actually, it's not a major problem, just some dryness and itchiness sometimes when I bathe too many times, and the need to put lotss of moisturiser. I thought it's just the dry weather here, but apparently I was wrong and it's because of the water here. Hai.. what can I say? Well, can't do much about it too but to put more moisturiser.. .. ..

New house

Here's a preview of my new house. But there's nothing in there except for furniture because I haven't move in yet. Well, I will post more photos when I officially shift in next month. Hehee...

I've paid the deposit for the apartment so it's mine now! Hoo... so glad that I've settled my housing stuff. Finally one major task off my mind.

Money
