Why do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer?

Went to Manchester yesterday for meeting and seminar. One full day of socialising. Went to David's former MBA student's mansion in Chester after that. His house reminds me of dao ming si's mansion. He is only 32 and will be the youngest partner in MS. Another few hours of socialising started. I started to realise I was unconsciously looking at the watches and cufflinks on them. The symbols of how successful they are?

From the university to the outside world and back to the university. It's a place where games are played with different tactics isn't it? You just need to hide them well.

Lots of thoughts from this one-day trip and I cannot express all of them. They are all in my head and I am questioning myself so many things all of a sudden. Somethings that I had thought of when I'm young but long forgotten and put aside. Somethings that I think I should have done but did not.

Maybe I am just trying to live a simple life. A life that's too simple. And I should have done otherwise?
