Bath Trip

Went to Bath last Sat. Was a super tiring trip.. Travelling on the bus was bad because of the long journey. Takes 3 hours to reach there and it wasnt as fantastic as i imagined. Perhaps i had too high an expectation of the hear-say romantic Bath. Well, here are the photos...

This is in the Roman Bath -- The only SPA in UK. And it was previously used by the Romans Kings and Queens to take their bath. Till today, the water is still hot from beneath. (But the water looks greenish and dirty though =P)

The wishing well. Does a wishing well exist in every historical place?

The cave with water constantly gushing out from beneath or within the cave.

Out of Roman Bath. Went to the "circular" castle...

The most romantic place in Bath for couples? Hmm... Does it look romantic? Perhaps when the sun is setting...

Well, after the sightseeing comes the shopping, and the loong bus journey back home again. Bath is a beautiful town.. Not so commercialised like Manchester or London. It's a nice town to live in when i retire. That's why we see so many old people on the streets of Bath.

Alrightz, no more trip this Sat... Because tests are coming! HAI... Hope i will jia you for this difficult test coming up and i'll upload more photos after my Lincoln trip next week. Take good care people!

Manchester Trip

Went to Manchester and the most important part of Manchester - Old Trafford Stadium that holds Manchester United. Though not a soccer or Man-U fan, it's a good experience to be there and explore the magnificent stadium that spends millions in maintenance. And I truly understand why soccer fans want to watch matches live instead of on the screen. It makes a huge world of difference! Before I leave uk, I would want an experience like this too!

The Stadium

We don't look like we are any players, but we just ran as they do! Hehee...

Randomly, we were asked to choose to sit at any place in the player's changing room.. And guess what? My seat was used to be Beckham's seat! Hahaa... Lucky me! Everyone wants to rub their buttock on that seat!

After the Old Trafford tour, we went down to Chinatown and had our first buffet in UK! Haha that was great and I ate lots lots and lots of salmon (to satisfy my craving my salmon because salmon is too expensive here to eat!) Hehee.. so after the full buffet was minimal shopping (of groceries because we were at Chinatown) and our bus ride home again. All the sightseeing was fun but as usual.. the bus ride and walking was tiring. And it's back to sleep for at least half a day when I finally reach home. =P

York trip

Went to York yesterday. Had a tough time getting the tickets to York before that, but everything is worth it because it is really a beautiful place. York is a town surrounded by City Wall built by the Rome back in 17th century. An old town with many historical buildings and most importantly, York Minster - The most beautiful church i've ever seen! So grand and magnificent! Took two hundred over years to build and has the most stained glass than any of the churches in Northern Europe. Also, the buildings there are built in an interesting way with the ground floor being the smallest and the upper floors bigger and bigger. They are shaped like a cone. Wonder how do they stabilise themselves in an event of quake! Haha.. but there's no earthquake here. Booooo.....

Anyway i love York and the minster is really very impressive! Here are the photos...

One of the York Minster entrances.

Part of the Minster. It's too big to fit all into a single photo!

Northern hall of Minster.

Beautiful decorated interior with stained glass..

Rose windows of the Chapen House. The lookup view from the bottom centre of Chapel House. Amazing, isn't it?

A hall for the choir, fitted with so many organ consoles along the aile! Isn't it grand? How i wish i had the chance to hear the organ console in this choir hall. Superb feeling of being in there!

Lookup view at the centre of Minster. North, south, east and west are the 4 ends of Minster. Minster is built as a cross shape. Hence, there are 4 ends.

Look at the statue at the east end! Beautiful... ...

Enough of photos of the church, now with me inside! hehee...

Statue and me!

Evidence of me been to the Chapel House and seen the Rose window. Hahaa..

I like this photo very much!

Enough of the Minster photos. Let's move on...

Came across this artist near the Minster. Inspired me to pick up my brush and paint again! Ever since i've came to UK, i've been so inspired to draw and paint, and be an artist! Hai.. will it be possible?

Next we went to the Clifford Tower...

We've made it to the top! Haha.. in fact, it isn't that tall.

At the top of clifford tower.

On the streets...

What is this knight walking around on the streets in this attire???
