My days back in Notts

This is the 13th day (almost end of the second week) I've arrived back in Notts. Had a busy first week - overcoming the jetlag, settling my school stuffs, settling many other miscellaneous matters, re-arranging and spring-cleaning my house and room, getting myself a new study table (and having to nail and screw all the pieces of wood together for more than 5 hours) for me to start work asap. Well, sister said it's always like that at the beginning, and I believe so too. Everything paced down a little during the second week although I still seem to have many undone work piling up, plus the tons of journals and papers for me to clear up and sort out by the deadline. Well well, I'm just complaining and yes I am, as usual.

So I shall now write on more interesting (i hope) stuffs ba. My new University is a lovely place. I love the old buildings, the green pastures, the lake with swans and also the highly upgraded building where my office is situated. I am sharing an office with a few other researchers. I have a strategically located seat further away from them near a corner. Behind me, a glass see-through top to bottom window. Sounds not that bad? Ha.. but I've only been to my office once. Anyway my phd life is not much different from a working life where my full-time job is a researcher. I felt so the first day I went to school and seen my fellow "colleagues" and office. So it's no longer a student life anymore, but a working life where there are many deadlines and much more expectations being held upon me. And I will be surrounded by presentations, discussions, meetings, training courses, report writing... at least for this coming year ahead.

I think I'm becoming long-winded and should stop here.
